Hollywood Films In Production

Why is there so many producers, co-producers and executive producers in a movie production?
Ever see the movie credits at the end. You’ll see every person, in or near the movie while it was being filmed. I mean seriously, what are there roles, verses a director, co-director and whats a boom operator? I took video tech in high school, for two years, I loved making films. How would I get a job being a special effects sound person. Ya know in a movie, especially animated, there is people in a room being recorded with all these gadgets to make noises and such in the movie. Do I need a degree for this? Just wondering, Or do you have to know someone, that person knows someone and so forth? Then ya get the job? Are there studios in every state? or just , Cali, NY, FL, Las Vegas, and Chicago? Just interested in this Hollywood film stuff. Hey and does someone get paid to find the bloopers.
Film making is a specialised team effort with a lot of departments. Each persons job is is clearly marked out. There are three stages in film making. Pre production, production and post production. The first two stages constitute upto the shooting stage while the third one is where the shot material is put together and additional sound is added later to make a complete picture. A producer chooses a script and arranges the finance and then hires the technicians to make the film. Director is a part of the technical team. When two or more persons get together to produce a film they are known as co producers. An executive producer is the person who sees through the day to day nitty gritty of the film. A boom operator is a person who assists the sound recordist at the time of the shooting to hold the microphone with a help of a rod called the boom rod.
Animation film is aanother type of film making where the process of picturisation is different and specialised.
To work in a film unit doing a course at a film school helps to understand this process which otherwise would take a long to figure out if one was trying to learn on ones own. There are agents all over who look after the work scenario and they help you in finding a placement.
